Three editions, three buying priorities
- Full game
Standard
The full game. A starting point for players who want the core experience.
- Cosmetics
Devout
Digital deluxe content, including the Obsidian Skin Pack. Its launch early-access window has ended.
- Physical collection
Revered
A PS5 physical collector’s edition with a steelbook, art prints and artbook.
Standard Edition — $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99
The Standard Edition is the full Mortal Shell II experience with nothing gameplay-related cut out. According to the release details shared by PlayStack, it included a pre-order bonus: the Skeletal and Obsidian Harbinger Skin for the player character.
At $49.99 it undercuts many full-price AAA releases — one reason it was pitched as a high-value pick for soulslike fans, as noted in the community coverage we researched.
Devout Edition — $59.99 / €59.99 / £47.99
The Devout Edition is the digital deluxe version. Its headline perks are up to three days of early access — which played out for real on August 18, 2026, two days before the global launch — and the Obsidian Skin Pack containing eight special Obsidian Shell skins.
On Steam, players who bought the Standard Edition could later purchase the Devout Edition content as a separate "Devout Edition Upgrade" DLC listed at $10.99. All skins are cosmetic; no gameplay advantage is included in either edition.

Revered Edition (PS5 Physical) — $69.99 / €69.99 / £59.99
The Revered Edition is a physical collector's edition announced for PS5 gamers. It bundles a collector's box with the game, a steelbook, fine art prints, an artbook, and the pre-order exclusive Obsidian and Skeletal Harbinger skins.
It was sold exclusively as an Amazon pre-order (Amazon Prime eligible), priced at US$69.99 / €69.99 / £59.99 with an expected item release date of December 31, 2026, and gift options at checkout. The official site later posted an update: this edition is sold out in most regions.
Which Edition Should You Buy?
For most players the Standard Edition delivers the complete game. The Devout Edition only makes sense if you want the earliest possible start (relevant before launch) or like the Obsidian skins — the early-access window has already ended, since the game is fully released. The Revered Edition is for collectors, and it is mostly sold out anyway.
